No, CFK is absolutely free. We provide shipping labels and have free materials available for you to print online.

What types of items does cfk pay for?

We pay for a variety of items including; cell phones, laser & inkjet cartridges, laptops, MP3s, iPads & iPods, tablets, and more. Check out our price lists for more information on the specific items we are currently accepting and their value.

What Does CFK Do with the items collected?

All of the items on our price lists are recyclable.

CFK believes that re-use is the best form of recycling and items collected are remanufactured or refurbished for resale when possible. Re-use helps prevent pollution and requires less consumption of natural resources.

If items are too damaged for re-use, they are properly disposed of. All end-of-life recycling takes place in the United States.

How can i tell if a cartridge is remanufactured or compatible?

Cartridges can sometimes be difficult to identify as remanufactured (non-virgin) or if they are made by a 3rd party (compatible). One of the best tools to use is comparing a known, original cartridge to the one you have. Click here for more tips on identifying cartridges or contact your representative for more help.

Inkjets are small cartridges that have a built in print head and circuitry. Inktanks are simple plastic tanks that may have a chip but otherwise no electronic look to them. For more information and examples click here.
